Rising Gallery in cooperation with moderndallas.net and the Texas Sculpture  Associationwill host “MOTA 8×8,” a Holiday art exhibit to benefit the MUSEUM OF BIBLICAL ART.

The exhibit will feature 40+ unique works of art—each measuring 8” by 8” with a reference to the holiday season by prominent local artists.

The name of Joshua Nimmo’s studio, Nimmo American Studio for Progressive Architecture, provides valuable insight into the Dallas architect’s respect for the American spirit and its undeniable influence on his design work. BACSAC® was created between designer Godefroy de Virieu and landscapers Virgile Desurmont and Louis de Fleurieu. Together, they looked for an alternative solution to get round the constraints of the creation of a roof garden in town: difficulties of transportation,  excessive weight, but also a lack of choice of containers, most of which are often very expensive. How can we reverse the tendency to pay more for the container than the contents? How can we make mobile an installation which is often fixed because of its weight and its rigidity? How can we create a planted area at the lowest cost?

The idea of planting in bags came from this desire to change habits and valorize
what it should be, the plant!

Manufacturing bags in a permeable geotextile to prevent asphyxiation of the soil..

The flexible material easily allows to mutiply the modules, to imagine the creation of real seasonal collection of bags, varying not only with the forms but also with the colors.

It’s a new generation of flexible plant containers. Its double-walled geotextile fabric, 100% recyclable, maintains the necessary balance between air, soil and water. Frost and sun resistant as wellas suitable for all environments.
